Title: All Things Connecticut Shorebirds
Who: Nick Bonomo. A birder since the age of 13, Nick was born and raised in Connecticut and has traveled all seven continents in search of birds. His youthful enthusiasm for birds and nature as a whole is contagious on the tours he leads for Sunrise Birding. An accomplished photographer, Nick is always willing to share tips and tricks in the field. He currently sits on the Avian Records Committee of Connecticut and maintains a long-running blog about his birding adventures. Nick holds an undergraduate degree from Stonehill College and a graduate degree from Yale University; he practices in Orthopedic Surgery as a Physician Associate in the United States
Description: Join Nick as he gives an introduction to all things Connecticut Shorebirds. We will learn what exactly a “shorebird” is, and how to tell the various types apart from one another. We will discuss the incredible life cycles of these birds, including their daunting migrations. We will also learn where and when to find shorebirds in Connecticut, whether you live inland or along the coast.
