COA Online Account Creation and Membership Purchase

COA members can use their online accounts to:

  • View their membership status
  • Update contact information
  • Access members-only content

New members must first create a COA account through a simple two-step process, and can then purchase a membership online. 

Payments may be made using a credit card, debit card, or PayPal account.

People who prefer to purchase or renew a membership with a mail-in check also need an online account – we’re happy to assist if needed. To save printing and mailing costs and volunteer time, we encourage you to consider online renewal.


Create a COA Account – New Members Only

Your COA account securely stores your contact information and is managed by you. Because the process relies on email verification, please check your Inbox (and Spam or Junk folder) after starting registration. Do not try to create more than one account.

Step 1: Verify Your Email

Click the “Create a COA Account” link above and complete the pre-registration form by entering your name and preferred email address.
Check the “I am not a Robot” box and click Send Email Verification.

Step 2: Complete Registration

Check your email for a message from COA (usually arrives within minutes).

  • If you don’t see it, check your Spam/Junk folder
  • Open the email and click the single-use registration link

You’ll be directed to a registration form:

  • Choose a username
  • Enter your contact information
  • Check “I am not a Robot”
  • Click Register

Once completed, your account will be created and you’ll be logged in. 

Tip: Add membership@ctbirding.org to your contacts to ensure you receive COA emails.


Purchase a Membership – New Members and Renewals

  1. Visit the Join Us page
  2. Confirm you are logged in (you must be logged in to proceed)
  3. Select your membership option and add it to your cart
  4. Click Checkout with PayPal

You will be redirected to PayPal’s secure site to complete payment using a credit card, debit card, or PayPal account.

After payment:

  • You’ll receive a receipt from PayPal
  • A confirmation email from COA
  • An additional email with your membership details

Managing Your Account

Visit the Accounts page anytime to update your information or manage your account.


Troubleshooting

Forgot your username or password?
Use the Password Reset link and enter your email address.
