RTP Estuary Center: Shorebirds Webinar via Zoom Meeting

  • Shorebirds are among the longest distance migrants of any bird family, spanning continents and oceans on their journeys to and from breeding grounds. Early spring in Connecticut is an ideal time to observe and listen to these birds, as many migrate through the state to points further north. In this webinar, Conservation & Education Coordinator Joe Attwater will highlight the incredible journeys these birds make and the species we can expect to see in Connecticut, as well as their breeding and migration behaviors, and tips and tricks for identification.
