Location: CVH Animal Sanctuary, 8 Commerce Road, Newtown (Catherine’s Learning Barn)

Ages: 10 and up (must be accompanied by a registered adult)
Cost: $15.00 (Registration fees are non-refundable unless both event date and rain date are cancelled)
Registration limited to 15 participants

Calling all bird lovers…we have a rare treat for you! Woodcocks, also known as timberdoodles, are enigmatic and well-camouflaged shorebirds with a distinctive aerial courtship flight and nasal “peent” call given in early evening. Join us at the sanctuary as we search for this shy and elusive bird and witness their amazing upward spiral mating dance. Note: this event requires standing still in the dark, listening for the bird call and watching silently for the aerial flight.
