DESCRIPTION:Become a community scientist and help count birds in your neighborhood or on a count team for our annual Summer Bird Count! \nHeld on two days in June\, the scope of the Summer Bird Count is similar to the Christmas Bird Count in its count circle extent covering Greenwich\, Stamford\, Darien and parts of Westchester County NY. DESCRIPTION:Reservoir # 3\, Bloomfield – Jun 6 – Sat 8 am \n298 Tunxis Ave\, Bloomfield\, CT 06002. Meet at first parking lot \nThis area is easily accessible and has a wide variety of habitats\nwithin a short distance. We are likely to find Bobolinks nesting in\nthe fields and Great Blue Herons nesting in their rookery at the\nback of a swamp along with a variety of other summer resident\nbirds. The area encompasses low fields\, tall grass fields\, marsh\,\nshrub habitat and forest habitat\, all from an easily walkable road.\nWear long pants and bug spray for tick protection.
