We’ll search for migrants and residents. We often see more than 15 species of warblers on this trip\, including resident Hooded\, Chestnut-sided\, Prairie\, and Worm-eating Warblers. SUMMARY:Hartford Audubon Society: Addison Bog/Woodlands - Bird Walk
DESCRIPTION:Addison Bog and Woodlands – May 17 – Sun 8 am\n216 Addison Rd\, Glastonbury \nMeet in the baseball parking lot at the far end of the Smith Middle School Rd \nWHEELCHAIR AND WALKER ACCESSIBLE PAVED TRAIL\nJoin us for a bird walk through mature growth forest and brook\,\nBlack Spruce bog and power line cuts. The area has many resident\nand migrant species. Choose to walk the ten-foot wide\, paved path\nwith 5 benches spaced throughout\, or join a group that walks\nthrough a very flat woodland trail section that can be good for\nseeing ovenbird\, veery and barred owls. As an option\, we can\nexplore a power-line cut which is good for indigo buntings\, prairie\nwarblers\, yellow warblers\, and blue-winged warblers. Bring sturdy\nshoes and bug spray. DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, May 17\, 2026\n8:00am – 11:00am\nCoastal Center at Milford Point\n \n1 Milford Point Road\nMilford\, CT 06460\n203-878-7440\nmilford@ctaudubon.org\n\nMembers $15\nNon-members $20\n\n\n\nJoin local birding expert Matt Joyce for a spring bird walk! The Coastal Center is a hub for wildlife all times of the year\, so we’ll take you to some of our favorite sites around the sanctuary’s salt marsh\, woodlands\, and sandbar to look for a variety of birds. Beginner birders are welcome. The Coastal Center has a limited supply of binoculars to loan out if needed. \nThis will be a casual walk for 2-3 hours\, depending on the weather and birding conditions. The walk is fairly flat\, but will take place on loose sand with little shade. Please bring good walking shoes\, binoculars\, and water. Dress appropriately for the weather\, as it tends to be windy at the coast. There are bathrooms on site at the Coastal Center. \nThis walk is subject to cancellation in the event of bad weather.
