Woodcock Nature Center: Owl Prowl at Sarah Bishop Preserve

Join Woodcock educator Tommy McCarthy and members of the Ridgefield Conservation Commission on this evening walk at the Sarah Bishop Preserve in Ridgefield to learn about and listen for some of the eight owl species which can be found in our state. Early March is an ideal time to join an owl prowl, as owls become more active and vocal for the breeding season. We will delve into the lives of these secretive and beautiful animals by learning about the sounds they make, the habitat they prefer, and the signs they leave behind as they hunt, rest, and raise their young.
