Sharon Audubon Center: American Kestrels: Small Falcons-Big Conservation Opportunities

May 23 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
American Kestrel, Wikipedia
Saturday, May 23rd – 10am-12pm
If you’ve ever seen a kestrel, you know they’re diminutive raptors that pack a punch! If you haven’t seen one before, this is a program you won’t want to miss. Sharon Audubon Center staff will be introducing you to its role in the region’s Kestrel Nest Box Program to increase local kestrel populations in our area before taking you outdoors to visit a nest box on the Sharon Land Trust’s Twin Oaks property. Participants will learn about Kestrel natural history, conservation status and opportunities, and hopefully get to see them in the wild at the nest-box site!

This program will begin at the Sharon Audubon Center and end at the Twin Oaks property. Participants will be responsible for driving to the Twin Oaks site and/or carpooling in the center’s van.
