Located at the mouth of the Thames River, Fort Trumbull is situated perfectly to catch migrating shorebirds on their way south. The expansive lawns, sandy flats, and rocky islands attract a variety of species, while the river and sound are home to gulls and waterfowl.
The walk will be approximately .5-.75 miles on level grassy, paved, and dirt terrain. Exposure to sun, heat/cold, and wind possible depending on weather. Portable toilets on site.
