Hartford Audubon Society: Hartford Crow Roost

Meet outside main entrance to Walmart Supercenter in Charter Oak Marketplace, 495 Flatbush Ave., Hartford CT.
Watch for AllHAS note the week prior to confirm meeting place Watching thousands of crows return to their nightly roost is an exciting winter spectacle. The roost tends to be near the Hartford/West Hartford boundary, often within sight of I–84. I’ll be tracking the roost location and will update the meeting place using the AllHAS e–mail if the crows have moved to a new area.
Be prepared to drive around some after we meet to see crows flying in from different directions. Dress quite warmly (including hats, gloves, and warm footwear): we will often be standing still. The crow show will probably last a little over an hour. Trip will be cancelled or rescheduled if snow or rain is falling or the weather is otherwise dangerous; call to ask if the weather seems borderline.
