The Wild Dark
While we sleep, the natural darkness is teaming with life. Over half of
the world’s insects are active at night during at least one stage of their
life. Birds migrate. Bats hunt. Moths try to avoid bats. Our plants and
trees are pollinated. Some amphibians make their way to vernal pools
in the spring. The darkness is habitat.
