CT Woodlands: Bird-Nature Hike
Slow paced walk along trails with some hills. Mainly forested land along the CT River. Focus of the hike will be observing, listening and noticing birds and nature in a relaxed enjoyable manner. This hike is more about connecting w/ nature, appreciating birdsongs- behavior rather than just identification. An invitation to participate in a 10-15 minute sensory awareness meditation (SAM) at the start will be done. After the SAM, we’ll explore several places throughout the park. Recommendations: wear sturdy footwear, Dress for the weather, Bring water, binoculars and or smart phone/Merlin app
I’m a dog lover but no dogs on this hike. Stormy or dangerous weather cancels.
Will meet near Gazebo.
