In-person Field Trips

dates in May at various locations and times

Hello Fellow Warbler Lovers!

Once again Connecticut Ornithological Association offers its Spring Workshop on Wood Warblers, this year with guided field trips. (Yay!) Wood Warblers (family Parulidae) are one of North American birders’ favorite bird families, displaying a fascinating variety of plumages, songs, behaviors, and character.

An online Zoom presentation by Chris Wood with tips and tricks for finding and identifying warblers will take place on Friday evening May 6 at 6:30 PM.

Expert-guided field trips at locations throughout the state will take place later in the month. Each field trip will be limited to the first 8 registrants, so don’t delay in choosing a location and registering. Email Chris Wood at cwood022@gmail.com to select your preferred field trip, indicating a first and second choice. Remember, first come, first registered. Chris will then confirm your walk and let you know of the more exact meeting location.
