Hartford Audubon: Great Pond Glastonbury Bird Walk

Entrance is just beyond 451 Great Pond Rd, Glastonbury, on left
From Rt. 17 – use south entrance to Great Pond Rd and drive in 0.2 mi. Park on south side away from hydrants.
Expect common CT birds as well as migrants. Habitat varies: woodland, water, shrub and field. Count on chickadee, nuthatch, jay, cardinal, wren and migrants as well. Many hawk, duck, and sparrow species. There are always some surprises. 2.5-mile walk. Hilly terrain.
Bring bug spray and sturdy shoes.
