Hartford Audubon: Hilltop Farm Bird Walk

Enter at Main Entrance – Park at the Creamery Parking
On this 7.9-acre historic homestead and adjacent town-owned open space we will view an abandoned eagles’ nest from a boardwalk surrounded by newly planted native species purchased with a HAS grant. Stroll by the Connecticut River, an inland pond, and the Community Garden plots. The Bird/Pollinator Gardens, also enhanced with HAS grant funds, provides a place to sit and relax while enjoying bluebirds, wrens, hummingbirds, and butterflies. We will be walking on 2 miles of hilly farm road and well-established woodland trails.
