Announcing the second annual Community Garden Harvest contest!

This is a friendly competition to see which community garden hotspot has the most species for the month of October!

Just bird at your local community garden hotspot any time during the month of October to see how many species you can find.  Record your birds in eBird, and be sure to use the hotspot so the birds can be tallied.  At the end of each week in October, COA’s  CT Birds listserv moderator Chuck Imbergamo will post the total number of species found on the listserv.

The list of community garden hotspots from last year is on the event page; if your garden is not on the list, please let Chuck know and he will add it.

Participation was good last year and we hope this year even more CT birders will visit these beautiful places and find some great birds!
