Audubon Sharon: Managing Your Land for Woodcock
April 9 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
$15
Few natural spectacles compare to the wonder of watching such a small bird conduct such a complex courtship display. If you haven’t seen it, you won’t want to miss this program! But to have woodcock to appreciate, this robin-sized bird requires properly managed habitat that meets its needs during different stages in its life cycle. It is currently listed as a priority forest bird for Audubon CT/NY as is suspected to be declining in the Eastern US. Join us in observing these unforgettable birds and learning what you can do, as a landowner, to sustain them.
This program is held at a private residence. Please park alongside the driveway to avoid boxing in other cars.
- Fee: $15/adult
- Pre-paid online reservations only.
- Call 860-364-0520 (ext. 115) or email Bethany at bethany.sheffer@audubon.org with questions.
