Volunteers Needed!
The Connecticut DEP Wildlife Division will be conducting shorebird capture and release operations on southbound migrants this summer and fall, as part of a continent-wide effort to track avian influenza in migratory birds. They are seeking information on staging areas utilized by the following species:
Semipalmated Sandpiper, Sanderling and Dunlin. As you come across concentrations of these species in your birding trips, please contact Min Huang with the following information:

* exact location of the birds,
* number of birds at each location,
* their activity, and
* tide stage when observed.
